HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut’s largest business organization is presenting its agenda for the new legislative session.

Officials from the Connecticut Business and Industry Association were scheduled Wednesday to release the group’s annual legislative and regulatory agenda at the Legislative Office Building.

The agenda includes specific policy recommendations on solving the state’s fiscal problems. CBIA said its ideas will help grow the economy, control state spending and make government more efficient.

Former Republican state Rep. Brian Flaherty, CBIA’s new senior vice president for public policy, was scheduled to be among the group of speakers.

The new session opened on Jan. 7. State lawmakers have until June 3 to complete their work this year.
