Danbury FD investigating garage fire

Danbury, Conn. (WTNH)–  The Danbury fire department is currently investigating a garage fire that occurred late Sunday evening.

According to the department, fire fighters responded to a structure fire at 7 Oak Ridge Avenue around 10 PM. When crews arrived on scene, the attached garage showed heavy smoke.

Crews were able to put the fire out quickly, according to the department. One person was taken to the hospital with burns to their hands and minor smoke inhalation.

Neighbors alerted the home owners to the fire, according to officials, which allowed the fire department to quickly respond.

The fire remains under investigation. No fire fighters were injured in the fire.
