Residents displaced after partial roof collapse

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTNH)– Willimantic police responded to a partial roof collapse at an apartment building Monday afternoon.

Police say the roof collapse occurred at apartment 33 in building 7 of the Foster Drive Apartment Complex.

According to police, a burst pipe is the cause of the incident. They say the heavy weight of the water on the second-floor ceiling caused it to collapse.

No one was injured in the incident, police say. At least two people have been temporarily displaced, according to police.
