Man hospitalized, Route 74 closed after South Windsor accident

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH)– Route 74 is closed in South Windsor while police investigate a Wednesday afternoon accident.

Police say around 1:30 p.m., a black Honda hit a tree on Route 74 near the Ellington town line. According to police, the Honda’s male driver was taken to Hartford Hospital. His name and condition are not known.

Route 74 is expected to reopen soon.

Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call Officer Stephen Hoover of the South Windsor Police Department at (860) 644-2551.
