Conn. (WTNH) – La Flor Products Co., Inc., is recalling Cumin they sold because the product may contain peanut, an allergen that is not listed on the ingredient label.
The product: La Flor Ground Cumin, 2.0 oz., UPC 7763601450, with a lot code of RLF800 and an expiration date of 5/13/18 or 7/14/18 stamped on the side may contain peanut by products.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. Symptoms of food allergies typically appear from within a few minutes to two hours after a person has eaten the food to which he or she is allergic. Allergic reactions can include: hives; flushed skin or rash; tingling or itchy sensation in the mouth; face, tongue, or lip swelling; vomiting and/or diarrhea; abdominal cramps; coughing or wheezing; dizziness and/or light-headedness; swelling of the throat and vocal cords; difficulty breathing; loss of consciousness.
Following their recall, The Stop & shop Supermarket Company LLC says it has removed La Flor Ground Cumin from their shelves.
Customers who have purchased this product should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Stop & Shop for a full refund.
