FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH)– Fairfield police have arrested the woman who rear-ended Chief Gary MacNamara in October.

Forty-year-old Annick Margot Winokur was arrested Thursday. She is charged with following too closely, traveling unreasonably fast, and second-degree reckless endangerment.
Police say their investigation showed she suffered a medical condition, causing the accident, but she admitted that she did not take medication for that condition the night before. They say Winokur was in four prior accidents, two in which she rear-ended a vehicle during a seizure. Her license had previously been suspended, but was valid at the time of the accident involving the chief, according to police.
