Man hospitalized after Hartford shooting

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– A man is hospitalized after being shot in Hartford early Saturday morning.

Hartford police say around 12:45 a.m. they were dispatched to 1166 Albany Avenue where they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the right side of his torso. That victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, according to police.

Police say the victim told them he was shot during a robbery. The two suspects are described as black males, possibly in their 20’s, according to police. They say those suspects fled in a white Acura.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
