WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) – There is a familiar sound overtaking Connecticut, its of money being exchanged at cash registers. One of those places where the sound could be heard loud and clear Sunday was over at Rocky’s Ace Hardware in Wethersfield where costumers had been coming in all day to make purchases.
“Making sure I got a good shovel because my old shovel is getting a little bent up,” said Scott Lilengerg of Wethersfield.
Monday a snow storm is expected to arrive which experts predict will blanket the state in a coating of white so thick it will be one for the history books. But at Rocky’s Sunday will be a day to remember because some workers there estimate they sold so many products that their business tripped.
“We sold our last like last four snow blowers this morning within two hours,” said Brittany Breedlove who works at Rocky’s.
Another popular place where people were shopping to get ready for the storm was at Big Y in North Haven. There News 8 saw lots of people getting food and drinks in case they get snowed in.
