Willimantic police investigate armed restaurant robbery

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTNH)– Willimantic police are investigating an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant.

According to police, a man with a knife went into the Subway at 33 High Street around 9 a.m. Thursday and demanded money. They say he fled south on High Street towards Main Street with an undetermined amount of cash. The restaurant’s clerk was not injured.

Police describe the suspect a 5’8″ tall, white male with a medium build. They say he was wearing a blue winter jacket.

Anyone with information about this armed robbery is asked to call Willimantic police at (860) 465-3135.
