Hartford, Conn. (WTNH) – Acting on a tip from a citizen, Hartford Police arrested a man and seized heroin, marijuana, cocaine and cash. Police say the tip was very specific with a detailed description of the suspect and vehicle as well as the location.
Police have charged 36 year old Abraham Rolon of Hartford with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell narcotics, possession of marijuana, criminal trespass 3rd degree and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. According to police, Rolon is a convicted felon with 10 prior arrests.
Police say they found Rolon in a Gray Volvo S60 in a rear parking lot of an apartment building at 990 Wethersfield Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. At the time police saw a small amount of crack cocaine then searched the vehicle and found a large amount of narcotics in a square plastic insert connected to the backside of the console that was factory installed but modified to fit the drugs.
Police seized one ounce of uncut cocaine, .60 ounces of crack cocaine, .35 ounces of marijuana and 152 sleeves of heroin packaged for street level sales. Police also seized $1020 cash believed to have been made through the illegal sale of narcotics.
