MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) – Police have arrested a man they say was a  fugitive of justice.

On Sunday evening a cop was flagged down by a woman who she just go into a collision with a man at the intersection of HIghlands Crescent and Afton Terrace.

While asking for ID from each of the persons involved, they found that the man now identified as Devunn Roger Day, was being evasive with information.  Cops couldn’t find a record for the Alabama driver’s license number and Social Security number 28-year-old Day gave. When a second officer started questioning Day, he gave a different birth date.  Day allegedly told the first cop that he lied about the initial birth date he gave him.

Day’s name and date of birth was very similar to a man that the police in El Paso County, Colorado had a warrant out for.  Middletown Police then asked for a picture of the fugitive and when they got the picture, they said that Day matched the photo.

Day was then arrested for being a fugitive of justice.
