Large apartment complex coming to Branford

BRANFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — The town of Branford has just given the go-ahead for a huge apartment complex to be built.

The plan got the green light from the planning and zoning commission last night. The proposed 205 unit apartment complex would be built on Church Street at the former site of the Atlantic Wire Mill. There would also be space for retail businesses and offices.

The next step is for Metro Star Properties to move ahead with creating a detailed site plan for the complex, which initially will be called Atlantic Wharf.
