(WTNH) — Weather is the star of this week’s Recap, but you’re not surprised by that at all, are you?
Pretty as it falls, no doubt about that, it came down at a pretty good clip around here on Monday. And because it’s been so cold it makes the clean-up extra difficult.
Snowblowers, shovels, plenty of shovels, and plows… all trying to put all that snow somewhere. Trying to get it off the cars, and away from the stairs was a challenge.
You showed us a few places where the parking lots and streets were seriously snow-covered and slippery. You showed us the squirrel searching for a snack, and deer waiting out the cardinal to raid the bird feeder.
The birds got their share of feeder time too, plus cats dreaming of feeding while bird watching. You showed us a few outside cats too, and of course, plenty of pups playing and posing, running and rolling, loving the snow, and a few who prefered the warmth of the fireplace.
If you stay inside, you miss out on the fun of riding in a sled; just ask all thes kids. You can’t make snow forts, “kid kaves”, or igloos.
We saw Seahawks snow art for the Super Bowl, and plenty of Patriots fans, plus happy Patriots fans celebrating.
Speaking of celebrating, Hamden’s dance team finished a school-best 7th place finish at Nationals, while the squad from the Walsh Intermediate School is bringing a National Championship trophy home to Branford.
And as we marvel at some stunning sunrises we prepare; knowing the next snow is right around the corner.
