How to avoid flame retardants


(WTNH)– Director, CT Clean Water Action, and Coordinator of the Coalition for a Safe and Healthy CT, Anne Hulick,talks Chemical Flame Retardants–what you should know and how to reduce exposure.

She tells us where these chemicals are found and why these chemicals actually do not provide any fire safety benefit and are highly toxic.

CWA is a national non-profit organization. They lead the Coalition for a Safe and Healthy CT which is a large, diverse advocacy group in CT of over 50 member organizations and thousands of citizens united in our concern about the health impacts of toxic chemicals in consumer products and the growing body of scientific research that links exposure to these chemicals with the rise in many serious diseases we see today.
