Eastern Connecticut spared from storm’s worst

NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — Unlike last time, Eastern Connecticut was spared from the worst of this storm.

The city of New London saw about an inch of snow Monday.

Folks in Norwich were digging out early in the morning. One woman had her car get stuck in a snowbank at the bottom of her driveway, from snow pushed in by city plows. Like many other people across the state, she’s had enough of the snow.

“Seems like there’s way too much; I mean we’re just getting over the first one and now there’s more snow coming,” said Sally Eslick. “Hard to get cars up and down the driveway.”

Norwich police say a parking ban is in effect until further notice.
