(WTNH)– Executive Communications Director of the Better Business Bureau Serving Connecticut, Howard Schwartz, talks terms, conditions and privacy.

Do you know what you have already given (and continue) to give away when you download a free app, sign up for a discount card, register for a service or on a website and do business with most companies?

Most consumers do not read terms and conditions. If you read the privacy terms before you download an app or hit “agree” or “download” or “click here to acknowledge you have read the terms and conditions,” you might be frightened by what you see what you have already handed over, including all of your contacts and their information and more.

For more information on why you should read the terms, conditions, and privacy, watch the video and go to http://www.bbb.org/connecticut.
