Bridgeport police investigating two shootings

Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) – Bridgeport police are investigating two shootings that both happened late Tuesday night.  The first happened just after 11:20 PM at the apartment complex at 629 Washington Ave.  They found a man bleeding in a fourth floor apartment.  There was a blood trail leading there from the lobby.  Police say they think 32 Raiheen Johnson was shot in the lobby and ran upstairs. When police asked him about what happened he said a masked man shot him, and wouldn’t give them any more information and became “verbally abusive” to the officers.

The second shooting happened a few minutes later in the 300 block of Wells Street.  The victim arrived at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center in a private car.  19 year old Joshua Robles told police he was sitting in his car when two people walked up and shot him.   He was hit in the chest and thigh.  The injures are not life threatening.  Police say it wasn’t a random act.

If you have more information about either shooting, contact Bridgeport police.
