PRESTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in Preston say fire officials are on the scene of a house fire with exploding ammunition.

It happened around 9:00a.m., at a home located at 55 Miller Road, an antique firearms dealership. Fire officials say they are letting the fire burn due to the issues with the ammo inside.

Officials on the scene say everyone got out of the building. No word yet on any injuries or what may have sparked the fire at this point.

The house is a complete loss and the road was closed at the time.
