Hartford students rewarded for perfect attendance

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Six students from a Hartford elementary school are being honored for perfect attendance with free bicycles and helmets.

The ceremony is set for Wednesday at the Thirman L. Milner Elementary School in Hartford.

The event is sponsored by the Julio Lozada Foundation, which was established in memory of a 12-year-old boy who died in a building collapse in 1979.

The students are being honored for perfect attendance from November through January.
