Arrest Made in Taxi Driver Hold-up

Hamden police have arrested Aaron Johnson for robbing a taxi driver at knife-point.  It happened on December 8th.  Hamden police were called to Mill Rock Road in response to a robbery.  They began to investigate, and learned the taxi driver had taken a man from the New Haven train station to Mill Rock Road.  When they got near the intersection of Mill Rock Road and Newhall Street, the passenger held a knife to the driver’s chest and demanded money.  Then, the suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of money.  The taxi driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries on his hands.

An investigation by Detective Donald Remillard led to an arrest warrant for Aaron Johnson of New Haven.  The 39 year-old was arrested by Hamden police on February 17th.  He’s facing several charges, including robbery.
