LANTANA, Fla. (WTNH) — Rapper Vanilla Ice has been arrested in Florida, accused of stealing some things from a neighbor’s home.

The former rapper, whose real name is Robert VanWinkle,  was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon in Lantana, Florida, and is expected to be charged with burglary and grand theft.

Police blame VanWinkle for stealing some furniture, a pool heater, bicycles, and some other thing from a home near a place he has been renovating. Police found the items at VanWinkle’s home and they were returned to the owner.

Police say VanWinkle is cooperating. So far there’s been no comment from his representative.

VanWinkle, who is best known for his 90’s hit “Ice Ice Baby” has a home renovation show on the DIY network.  The show is titled “The Vanilla Ice Project.”
