DARIEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Darien Police arrested a 65 year old man from New York City today for making harassing phone calls to a 17 year old girl in Darien for well over a year. The girl reported the calls to police in October of 2014. She told police she had gotten more than sixty phone calls to her cell phone from a blocked number.

Police say the unknown caller would tell the girl he knew her whereabouts at certain times of the day and he’d ask her inappropriate questions. At one point, police say the caller asked if he could meet the teen somewhere.

Investigators were able to determine that caller was 65 Keith Jamie Reimer of 18 East 80th St in Manhattan. Reimer turned himself in Wednesday to the Darien Police Department after learning that there was a warrant for his arrest. He’s being charged with two counts of Harassment in the second degree.
