BOSTON, Mass. (WTNH) — A scary scene caught on camera of a truck flying off an elevated section of I-93 up in Boston.

The truck goes over the wall, takes out a sign and a light, and then crashes down onto a lower level. Remarkably, the driver survived.

Police said the driver was drunk. The driver ‘contends’ he’d been shoveling snow all day with a friend, and only had a few drinks. He says exhaustion was the cause of the accident.

“I woke up to the sound of, I think it was the paramedics, or the EMTs ripping the car door open,” the driver, Vannak Sao said.

Police say that the driver actually has a long history of driving infractions. His license has now been revoked.
