East Haven robbery leads to home invasion

EAST HAVEN (WTNH)– North Haven police arrest suspect in East Haven Dollar Tree robbery.

Just before 10PM on Thursday, two employees at the Dollar Tree on Frontage Road in East Haven were ordered to the ground by a man who barged into the store. The suspect took some cash and made of in a Pontiac van, which was later determined to have been stolen.

Police issued a warning and a short time later the stolen car was tracked down in North Haven. Police engaged in a brief pursuit, the suspect then crashed on Quinnipiac Avenue and took off on foot. He ran into a nearby home, trying to force the homeowner to give him their car.

The suspect then ran from the house and was taken into custody by North Haven police.

The suspect is 35-year-old Rashonne Anderson. He’s being held on $250,000 bond.
