No explosive devices found at Hamden High School

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Hamden High School was evacuated after a bomb threat was received Friday morning.

Police tell News 8 the threat was received at 8:28 a.m. Friday morning. All Hamden High students were evacuated from the school to the Hamden Ice Rink parking lot on Mix Avenue. Students boarded school buses until the building was searched by police.

Hamden police along with the New Haven police bomb squad conducted a detailed search of Hamden High. No explosive devices were located.

Police gave the ‘all-clear’ signal just before 11:00 a.m. School officials and police are conducting their investigation into the threat’s origin. If you have any information that could help police identify the person responsible for the threat, you’re asked to call Hamden police at 203-230-4000.
