DMV Office Closings

Conn. (WTNH) – Several offices of the Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed this week.  The department is making upgrades to the computer system and training employees on that system.  In order to make sure all employees are trained, several offices around the state have been closed at various times.  The entire upgrade at locations across the state should take six weeks.

This week, offices in Willimantic, Norwich will be closed as well as the satellite office in Putnam. Those closings start Tuesday, March 3rd until Friday March 6th.

The DMV’s computer system is more than 40-years-old, so these computer upgrades are needed to eventually help serve customers faster and more efficiently.
