Israeli Prime Minister in United States

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in the United States, he arrived in Washington D.C. on Sunday.

He’s in the country for the annual American-Israel Public Affairs Committee conference, and is also expected to address Congress at some point. Netanyahu will be arguing against a possible agreement between the United States and Iran, which some say is driving partisan wedge between political parties in Washington.

The invitation was issued by House Speaker John Boehner. The move was not cleared with the White House, which is unusual because most visits from foreign leaders are.
