Talenti Gelato & Sorbetto Sea Salt Caramel Recall

A Consumer Alert. If you’re allergic to peanuts, this recall is for you. Talenti Gelato and Sorbetto has issued an allergy alert for their pint sized Sea Salt Caramel Gelato. The company says their Sea Salt Caramel Gelato may inadvertently contain peanuts or peanut butter which is not listed as an ingredient on the label. If you’re allergic or have a severe sensitivity to peanuts, the company’s press release says consuming the product poses a serious even life-threatening health risk.

The Sea Salt Caramel Gelato to look out for is the pint sized clear plastic jar marked with a unit UPC of 8685200024 located on the side of the jar. A best by date of 05/19/2016 located on the bottom of the jar. No other best by dates are affected.

The company issued the voluntary recall after a consumer complaint. At this point, no allergic reactions have been reported. The pint sized Sea Salt Caramel Gelato was distributed nationwide.

If you have this gelato with the affected UPC and the best by date, you’re urged to hold onto the plastic jar and call 877-270-7393 to ask for a replacement coupon.
