Milford girl takes a stand to change dress code

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– A girl from Milford is making a difference at her school.

She decided to break the rules at West Shore Middle School to get them changed! A fashion statement with a purpose and it worked.

She wanted to wear leggings, even though they weren’t allowed in the school. So she wore them anyway and wrote a letter to the principal explaining why the girls should be able to.

Now she and other girls can wear the popular and comfortable look with a few exceptions.

News 8’s Noelle Gardner was in Milford with the details.
