Man dead, 2 children hospitalized after Norwich crash

NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — A Preston man was killed in an accident on Laurel Hill Road around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say 31-year-old Rosario DeJesus-Delgado was driving south near the Preston line when he lost control and crossed the yellow line into the path of an oncoming car.

DeJesus-Delgado was killed in the crash. Two children in his car were taken to William Backus Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, police say. They say the driver of other car suffered minor injuries.

Laurel Hill Road was closed for about four hours while an on-scene investigation was conducted.

The accident is still under investigation; however, police say weather doesn’t appear to have been a factor. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Officer Lazzaro at (860) 886-5561.
