Video, description of fatal Waterbury hit-and-run suspect vehicle released

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Video and a vehicle description of the car Waterbury police say hit and killed 61-year-old Dita Redzepi before fleeing Saturday have been released.

According to police, Redzepi was walking near 467 Wolcott Street around 6:10 p.m. when she was struck. She was later pronounced dead at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Police describe the suspect’s vehicle as a medium-sized four-door sedan. They say a witness in a white, full-size, regular cab pickup truck was behind the suspect, driving southbound towards Manor Avenue at the time, and may have seen something.
