Another day of winter weather impacting commute

MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH)– Another round of snow will not help the situation for roofs or roads at all. News 8’s Kent Pierce was in Meriden with a look at conditions along I-91.

In Meriden, off I-91, an area known for lots of traffic, the snow is coming down. It is sticking to the colder surfaces and sidewalks.

It’s not looking too bad on I-91 as of 7 a.m. because the DOT has been treating the highways. But as the temperature drops and the roads freeze, things will change over the next couple of hours.

As you head out for your morning commute, be careful for when the change over to ice on the roads happens. It could be a major issue for the morning commute.
