Manchester, Conn. (WTNH) – First responders went above and beyond yesterday after receiving a call that a man was unconscious.  Firefighters and police rushed to the home on Scott Drive to help a man who was suffering from a heart attack.

Miroslaw Dabrowski was clearing snow off of his roof at the time when he collapsed on the roof.

First responders started performing CPR on the roof.  Firefighters were able to put him on a back board and lower him to the ground, all while still trying to resuscitate him.  While they did everything they could, Mr. Dabrowski passed away.

An hour after the call, both firefighters and police officers returned to the home to finish the job for Mr. Dabrowski.  They took up shovels and cleared away the rest of the snow.
