SEATTLE (WTNH) — Octopi usually use their tentacles to hold on to prey, but not this one. This octopus at the Seattle Aquarium used its tentacles to nearly escape from its tank.
The creature sort of makes it out, with one of its eight tentacles making it over the glass and to the other side. The mollusk nearly becomes a fish out of water, but a staff member is able to thwart the escape at the last minute.
After the attempt, maybe the aquarium will think about putting some type of lid on the tank.
