One woman dead after car crash in Plainville

PLAINVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) – A woman died in a head on car accident Saturday night in Plainville.

The car crash happened just before 9:00 p.m. on New Britain Avenue as two cars hit head on.

The crash happened just west of the New Britain and Plainville town line.

The driver in a Mazda sedan was identified as Roxanne Marie Dias, 30, of Plantsville. The second car involved was Marlena Wcislo, 25 was in a Nissan SUV with one passenger, Peter Wcislo, 26, both from New Britain.

The Plainville Fire Department responded and extricated Dias from her car and taken by LifeStar to Hartford Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Marlena and Peter Wcislo were both taken to the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain General Campus, by AMR for injuries police say to be non-life threatening.

The crash is still under investigation by police and anyone with information is asked to call Plainville Police Department at (860) 747-1616.
