Pedestrian killed in Hartford accident, driver in custody


HARTFORD, Conn.(WTNH) – One man is dead after he was hit by a car Sunday night at Albany Avenue and Williams Street, Hartford police say.

According to Deputy Chief Brian Foley, the victim was transported to Saint Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead. That victim has not been identified.

Police say the driver is in custody, and is expected to be charged overnight.

The accident is still under investigation.
