FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A dead skunk was found nailed to a Fairfield telephone pole with an anti-Obama sign above it and another skunk beneath it Tuesday morning, police say.

According to police, one skunk had heavy string around its neck and was nailed to a pole, about four feet off the ground, at Park and Jackman Avenues. They say the other was at the base of the pole, under the first one.

A laminated sign that read “Obama Stinks” was on the pole as well, police say. That sign also had an American flag on it, with a hammer and sickle in place of the stars, according to officials.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Fairfield police at (203) 254-4800 or Farifield Animal Control at (203) 254-4857.
