See, Click, Fix to report pothole problems

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– It sounds like we’re expecting another beautiful day today, great news for us, not so much for the roads and our cars.

You’ve been helping News 8 keep track of pothole problems around the state. And you can also make sure those potholes actually get fixed! There’s a new program to help, it’s called “See Click Fix.”

Take a picture of the problem and then upload it to the program either on your smartphone or online. News 8 swung by the program’s headquarters in New Haven to find out what happens next.

In New Haven, that will go right into the city’s work order system, when the city acknowledges the issue, you will get an email back, letting you know the issue is known, and the same will happen for when it’s fixed.

You can also track the progress on the website. For example, I want to check the road problems in the “Westville” section of New Haven, I type that in to the search bar and voila!

This works for cities and towns around the world! For more information, go to www.seeclickfix.com.
