NY man arrested for attempted larceny at Westport bank

WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) – A New York man has been arrested for an attempted larceny of $30,000, Westport Police say.

Westport Police responded to TD Bank North, 1111 Post Road East on Saturday, March 14 at approximately 10:30 am on a report of an attempted larceny where they searched the area with a K-9 unit.

The male suspect left the bank before the police arrived, but was found a short time later near 1035 Post Road East and identified as Kurtney Murcan St. Ville of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Police say a witness was able to positively identify that St. Ville had been in the bank trying to transfer $30,000 into multiple accounts using another person’s identification.

St. Ville was arrested and is charged with identify theft 1st degree, forgery 2nd degree, criminal impersonation, and criminal attempt at larceny 1st degree. St. Ville is being held on a $20,000 bond.
