Dancing with the Stars kicks off its 10th Anniversary season

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (ABC) — It was a big night on News 8 last night as the 10th anniversary season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars kicked off with a surprise; some of the celebrities really have some moves!

Actress Rumor Willis and her partner Val Vhmerkovskiy fox-trotted their way to first place with 32 out of 40 points.

“For me, it’s not about the scoresi’m so thankful continue improving,” Willis said.

One point behind them in second place, singer Riker Lynch and his partner, Allison Holker, who impressed the judges with their jive.

“I had so much fun, weeks to come,” Lynch said.

In third place, with 30 points for their foxtrot, Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin, who’s dancing with Derek Hough.

“I’m not thinking about placement at all,” Liukin said. “I mean, obviously we’re competitors, and we want to win.”

Shark Tank’s Robert Herjavec and his partner, Kym Johnson, attacked their cha cha, and ended up in fourth place.

“I think we have a chance we can actually do this,” Herjavec said.

Dancing with the Stars airs Monday nights on News 8.
