Arrest made for Somers school threat

SOMERS, Conn. (WTNH)  –  State Police have made an arrest for a threat against a Somers school.   The unidentified juvenile is charged for a threat made on social media last Thursday.

According to State Police the threat of a shooting at a school was posted on Yik Yak.  Police were notified of the posting by concerned parents.   State Police and the FBI and other law enforcement agencies began an investigation.   Police say they found multiple response postings that were in reference to an alleged threat but never located an actual credible threat.  Police say the juvenile told them that there was never any original threat.

The juvenile is charged with falsely reporting an incident 1st and breach of peace.
