Man wanted for robbing Guilford bank

GUILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Guilford bank was robbed just before 4 p.m. Friday.

According to police, a man went into a Webster Bank on Boston Post Road, approached a teller, and demanded money. They say the man did not display or imply having a weapon. No one was hurt in the incident.

Police describe the suspect as a black male between 5’9″ and 6’0″ tall. They say he was wearing a dark Champion hoodie, tan pants, and a knit cap pulled over his face with eye holes cut out.

Officials say the suspect made off with a undetermined amount of cash, and ran west towards the back of the building. They say a vehicle was not seen leaving the scene.

A $2,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Guilford police at (203) 453-8061.
