Corrections officer arrested again, on assault charges

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH)– The state corrections officer accused in connection with a deadly hit-and-run is in even more legal hot water.

46-year old Patricia Daniels now faces charges of assault and risk of injury to a minor.

According to the Connecticut Post,  prosecutors say that she beat a young girl with a belt during a sleep-over at her home earlier this month.

Daniels was already facing charges for a hit and run crash on Boston Avenue last December  that killed a mother of three and left her son seriously injured.
