New London fire under investigation

New London fire officials are investigating a fire they believe was arson Thursday morning (WTNH)

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) – There were no injuries in an early morning fire in New London but 8 people have been at least temporarily displaced.

According to the New London Fire Department they were called to a 2-family home at 17 West Colt Street at 2:40 a.m. on the report of a fire. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly and were wrapped up at the scene by 4 a.m.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the New London Fire Marshall’s Office.
