COLCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — The death of a woman found near a Colchester creek Wednesday evening has been ruled a homicide, state police say.
According to officials, officers from Troop K located the body at the intersection of Cato Corner Road and Pine Street just after 5 p.m.
State police describe the victim as a 25- to 35-year-old white woman with dark hair that had been dyed red. They say the victim has multiple facial piercings and tattoos. A tattoo that reads “Nicole” with a butterfly underneath is on her right bicep, and another tattoo on her left bicep reads “Jayden,” police say.
“Our detectives are using all their investigative tools to attempt to identify who she is based on the scene, based on what they may already know, based on any information or tips we may receive,” said trooper Kelly Grant.
