Shooting under investigation in Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH)– Officers are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday evening.

According to police, officers responded to the reports of a shooting on School Street shortly after 8. Police located a single male victim with a gunshot wound. Officer aided the victim and secured the area. The victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital by ambulance.

A second male victim walked into the hospital shortly after the shooting also suffering from a gunshot wound, police say. Both victims are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information or any witnesses are asked to call detectives at 203-854-3113 or the tip line at 203-854-3111. Anonymous tips can also be sent to the police at the PD’s website or by text by typing NPD, followed by the tip, and sending it to 274637.
