Man arrested for having replica gun at work

DANBURY, Conn. (WTNH)– A Bridgeport man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly brought a gun into the office.

Police say several officers were dispatched to the business on Corporate Drive at approximately 3:30 PM for the report of a disgruntled employee who was pacing in the parking lot holding a gun.

Police say they were informed that 22 year old Ariteigh Bailey was inside the office and sitting at his desk with his head down. It was unknown if Bailey had the gun with him in the office or not.

Police made a tactical entry, and Bailey was found in his cubicle. Police say he initially failed to comply with officers orders to show his hands, but he eventually complied.

Police say they found a replica handgun in his car. Bailey was arrested and charged for breach of peace. He was transported to Danbury Hospital for observation.
