(WTNH/CNN)– You can now get your hands on the new Apple Watch, but you can’t take it home just yet.

The watch is available to tinker with and try on at the Apple store, but customers can only purchase the smartwatch exclusively online.

The in-store launch was sparse considering the magnitude of previous device releases, but that hasn’t stopped the orders from flowing in.

All models of the Apple Watch are backordered for at least four to six weeks. They will begin shipping to customers on April 24th.

Whereas people would wait hours or even days to get their hands on the new iPhone, one of the first people to check out the new Apple Watch in-store said he only had to wait about five minutes.

The Apple Watch is the first new consumer product in five years, and is the company’s first since Steve Jobs died.

The new watch comes in a variety of colors, styles, shapes and most of all prices. The cheapest smartwatch starts at $349, while the most expensive can be yours for just over $10,000. The latter being the Apple Watch Edition, which is made with 18-karat gold.
