Bridgeport store owner shot and killed

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A 58-year-old man was shot and killed in his store in Bridgeport Saturday afternoon, police say.

According to police, two men went into Sapiaos Grocery Store at 351 Lexington Avenue around 3 p.m. and shot the owner.

Police are looking for two men who were last seen getting into a small four-door vehicle on Linen Avenue.

The identity of the owner has not been released but but neighbors in the area say he’s well known and they’re obviously upset by what happened.

“Really nice person, really really nice person, I don’t know I’m in shock,” said Jacinta Portela, a neighbor .
