Shooting in Hartford leaves one man dead

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police are investigating a shooting that killed a man early Saturday morning.

Police responded to the report of an unresponsive male in the driver’s seat of a car in front of 87 Benton Street. They say the 33-year-old man suffered a single gunshot wound to the head, and was pronounced dead around 2:50 a.m. Deputy Chief Brian Foley says the death is a homicide.

The identity of victim has not been released.

Major Crimes Detectives are still investigating the incident.
